Denis Kearney and H. L. Knight gave this speech in Caifornia on February 28, 1878. They made many racist points to get their listeners to understand that the Chinese immigrants were taking over and did not deserve to. Their listeners were current supporters of California's Workingmen's Party. This document is important because it proves just how far people were willing to go to "relieve" the U.S. of Chinese immigrants.
