Industrial Workers of The World
In 1905, 43 groups who did not support the policies of American Federation of Labor had representatives form a radical labor organization called Industrial Workers of The World. The organization’s goals were to promote worker solidarity. Industrial Workers of the World accepted immigrant workers when many unions refused to. This led to several immigrant leaders in the group.
